PU20 PRO Top Sealer
PU20 PRO Top Sealer by Microestil is a high-performance two-part polyurethane varnish designed to provide exceptional protection for microcement, self-levelling floors and decorative surface systems. Formulated in a water-based aliphatic polyurethane system, it creates a tough, colourless protective layer with excellent resistance to abrasion, staining and common chemical products.
Ideal for high-use residential and commercial areas, PU20 PRO offers a durable final seal that helps protect finished surfaces from everyday wear, cleaning products, shoe rubber migration, spills and surface marking. Recommended Consumption: 120–140g/m² in two coats.
Mixing Ratio: Component A: 3kg / Component B: 0.6kg.
Dilution: Add 5–10% water after mixing Component B into Component A.
Pot Life: Approximately 1 hour at 20°C. Higher temperatures will reduce working time.
Recoat Time: Minimum 6 hours, maximum 48 hours. If more than 48 hours has passed, sand the surface before applying the next coat.
Drying Time: Walkable with caution after approximately 12 hours at 20°C.
Full Resistance: Maximum resistance achieved after approximately 5 days.
Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, wax or other contaminants. On absorbent supports, prime with two coats of Microestil Hidrolaca and allow at least 12 hours drying before applying PU20 PRO.
Application Conditions: Ambient and surface temperature between 10°C and 30°C. Relative humidity below 80%. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying while avoiding dust contamination.
Solid Content: Approximately 40% by weight.
Density: Mixed product approximately 1.06g/cc.
Abrasion Resistance: 25 ± 5mg, tested to ASTM D4060-95 using CS10, 1000 revolutions, 1kg.
Reaction to Fire: Bfl-s1.
Tool Cleaning: Clean tools with water before the product hardens.
Storage: Up to 1 year from manufacture when unopened, stored indoors and protected from frost and direct sunlight.
Safety: Always read the label and safety data sheet before use. Wear gloves, mask and protective eyewear during application.
