Hidrolaca by Microestil is a single-component water-based acrylic sealer designed to prepare and protect cementitious surfaces before the application of polyurethane varnishes and final sealers. It penetrates and consolidates porous microcement and mineral surfaces, helping to create a more uniform base for subsequent protective coatings.

Ideal for use before Microestil Estilpur varnishes and PU sealers, Hidrolaca helps reduce excessive absorption, improves surface consistency and supports a cleaner, more even final finish. Its fast-drying, easy-application formula makes it a practical preparation sealer for microcement, cementitious floors, clay surfaces and natural stone.
  • Pre-Sealer for Varnishes: Especially recommended before applying Microestil Estilpur and polyurethane varnish systems.
  • Improves Surface Uniformity: Helps prepare cementitious surfaces for a more even final sealer application, reducing visible roller marks.
  • Excellent Penetration & Consolidation: Absorbs into porous mineral substrates, strengthening the surface and helping block future efflorescence.
  • Fast Drying: Touch dry in approximately 30 minutes at 20°C and 60% relative humidity, allowing efficient progress on site.
  • Easy Application: Suitable for horizontal and vertical surfaces using a short-nap or microfibre roller.

 

  • Product Type: Single-component water-based acrylic resin sealer.
  • Use: Sealing and protection of cementitious surfaces before varnish or final sealer application.
  • Suitable Surfaces: Microcement, cementitious floors, mineral coatings, clay surfaces and natural stone.
  • Application: Short-nap roller or microfibre roller.
  • Recommended Coats: Usually applied in two coats.
  • Consumption: Approximately 50–60g/m² per coat, or around 7–8m² per litre depending on substrate absorption.
  • Dilution: Dilute the first coat with approximately 10% water where required. Apply the second coat as recommended by the system specification.
  • Touch Dry: Approximately 30 minutes at 20°C and 60% relative humidity.
  • Interval Between Coats: Minimum 2 hours at 20°C. In colder conditions, allow approximately 4 hours.
  • Time Before Varnish: Allow at least 12 hours in summer conditions or 24 hours in winter conditions before applying Estilpur or polyurethane varnishes.
  • Application Temperature: Do not apply below 5°C or above 35°C.
  • Appearance: Glossy liquid sealer.
  • Specific Weight: 1.017 ± 0.020kg/L.
  • Solids Content: 30% ± 2%.
  • VOC: 1.1g/L.
  • Flash Point: Non-flammable product.
  • Tool Cleaning: Clean tools immediately with water after use.
  • Storage: Store unopened in the original container, away from direct sunlight and protected from frost. Shelf life is at least 1 year under suitable storage conditions.
  • Available Sizes: 1 kg and 5 kg.
